Because I saw that when importing external content, one could choose to embed an SCORM or AICC API into a course page inside the course editor, I thought I might be able to important an SCORM course this way instead of using the SCORM importer. It turned out that a course thus imported will not show up under SCORM courses even thought it is technicallly a SCORM course. Also, it turned out that the course will be deemed completed as soon as it has been visited, totally disregarding any possible API communication that may have happened between the course and the API. So, we know that this has been tried and it does not work. I wonder then why there is such an option there when importing importing external content for an Learn.com course editor page.
